Knowing when to change industrial tires is critical – change them too early and you risk spending too much, change them too late and you risk machine and operator safety.
Trelleborg has developed an innovation for its premium tires that lets operators and vehicle maintainers know with 100% accuracy when their tires need replacing – we call this innovation the “Pit Stop Line”.
The Pit Stop Line is simple - when tires wear out, a highly visible orange strip appears on the surface of the tire, indicating that replacement tires need to be ordered and that new tires are scheduled to be installed. When this Pit Stop Line appears on a tire, it has approximately 100 hours left in its life, which means that replacement tires can be installed at the most convenient time.
