RMH Vulcan – high-performance self-propelled feed mixer
RMH Vulcan is a self-propelled feed mixer designed for professional and intensive use, combining feed milling, loading, weighing, mixing and dispensing into one efficient work process. The range includes models with mixing volumes of 14, 16, 18 and 20 m³, with a maximum load capacity of 5600–8000 kilograms, depending on the version.
Vulcan is the largest machine in RMH's single auger range. One vertical auger and two counter knives help to quickly produce a uniform and airy feed ration. The machine is particularly suitable for medium and large dairy farms and feeding service providers for whom high productivity and reliability are important.
The machine is powered by a 218 hp Volvo Penta diesel engine. The engine, hydraulic pumps and cooling systems are located at the rear of the machine, which makes access to maintenance points easier and helps reduce noise levels in the cab.
The spiral cutter, which is over two meters wide, allows for fast loading of feed from a silo or storage. The cutter directs the material into the mixing tank through a 650 mm wide rubber belt feed channel. The cutter is designed to preserve the structure of the feed and achieve high loading performance.
Four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering give the Vulcan good traction and maneuverability in narrow barn aisles, farmyards and uneven ground. The machine has a wheelbase of 4550 mm and a claimed maximum speed of 25 or 40 km/h, depending on configuration.
Feed is delivered via a cross conveyor in front of the mixing tank to the left or right side of the machine. A programmable weighing system helps to accurately dose feed components, and a camera system allows monitoring of both the mixing tank and the rear of the machine.
