RMH Mixell 182–282 – reliable twin-auger feed mixer for larger farms

The RMH Mixell 182–282 is a trailed feed mixer for professional use, suitable for medium and large livestock farms. The model range includes versions with mixing volumes of 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28 m³. According to RMH France, the model range is suitable for feeding approximately 80–180 animals, depending on the volume and composition of the feed ration.

The machine's two vertical mixing augers operate with an overlapping working area. This solution directs the feed material throughout the mixing tank, improves the distribution of components and helps to achieve a uniform TMR feed even when preparing smaller feed quantities. RMH describes the overlapping auger solution as a system that supports fast cutting, high-quality mixing and more complete emptying of the tank.

The machine has four counter knives for chopping the feed. The mixing augers are equipped with a total of 16-22 blades, depending on the model. Augers of the appropriate height and diameter are used for each mixing tank size to maintain low power requirements and consistent mixing results across the entire model range.

The Mixell mixing tank has 6 mm side walls and a 20 mm base made of steel. The reinforced planetary gearboxes, two-speed mixing drive and full frame construction are designed for intensive daily work. Depending on the model, the recommended tractor power is 85–100 hp.

Accurate dosing of feed components is supported by a programmable weighing system with four weighing sensors, with a declared accuracy of 1/1000. This helps to keep the feed ration composition consistent between loadings and reduces dosing errors.

The standard solution is to discharge the feed through an electro-hydraulically controlled side hatch. Various discharge solutions are available for the machine, including cross conveyors, side discharge openings and folding conveyors. The number of discharge openings can range from one to five, depending on the configuration.
